BRAG/FIREHOUSE 08

Back in June 2008 BRAG teamed up with Firehouse to do an exhibition in the Basement Arts building in Brighton. The exhibition was on for 3 days and nearly 1000 people came to see the 500 posters that were displayed. On the main night the Windmill Pub sponsored the booze and there was a live DJ, the after party was at BDI printers which is where BRAG started, this lasted until the early hours of the morning.

Firehouse had embarked on a UK tour of poster exhibitions that ran in Britsol, Manchester, Birmingham and London. Rhys Wootton designed a screen-printed poster for the event with an A1 version sold as memorabilia and an A2 version that was posted around town.

BRAG hosted live print demonstrations in the venue where you could see and get involved in screen-printing.Chuck Sperry and Ron Donovan hosted a poster workshop at Output studio where they printed a poster for the Charity StrummerVille. The exhibition was a huge success and BRAG would like everyone who supported the event, especially the Basement Arts who provided the space, Windmill Pub and Art Republic who gave sponsorship funds.
