SAM WILLIAMS

Sam Williams is a Brighton based illustrator and print maker.

Sam Graduated Portsmouth University in 1997 and after a brief detour into gardening set up illustration collective Magictorch with an old friend from university.

After 8 years of computer based illustration a reintroduction to the world of screen printing in 2008 opened the door to an additional avenue of image making.

Since then Sam has exhibited work in the Boxbird group shows Cinemascope and A to B and is a recent addition to the BRAG group.
Inspiration for these prints comes from the usual suspects – cinema, science fiction and the optimism of vintage poster design giving the work a nostalgic edge.
